What is Envista?
Envista is a web-based Infrastructure Coordination solution that enables utilities, municipalities, and highway agencies to view and coordinate construction projects on maps.

What is an Envista "ecosystem"?
An ecosystem is a group of interdependent organizations in the same geographic region that maintain infrastructure or manage projects within roadway corridors.

How much does it cost if I am a municipality?
Envista's Software as a Service is available by annual subscription. The annual cost of the subscription is based upon the population of your municipality.
Note that you don’t need to purchase any hardware or additional software to use Envista. All you need is internet access and a web browser.

How much does it cost if I am a utility company?
Envista’s Software as a Service is available by annual subscription. The base annual cost of the subscription is based on the number of customers in your service area. Additionally, as municipalities sign-up in your coverage area, your annual fee increases by each municipality. The concept is that you pay a low entry fee to get started and you pay more only as you gain additional value from your associated municipalities signing up and providing project data.
Note that you don’t need to purchase any hardware or additional software to use Envista. All you need is internet access and a web browser.

Envista‘s Software as a Service is available by annual subscription. The annual cost of the subscription is based on agency size.

No, you do not need to download or install anything to use Envista's Software as a Service. All you need is internet access and a web browser.

Do I need to buy any additional hardware to use Envista?
No. Any machine that has a high-speed internet connection should be able to run Envista.

Do I need to provide my own mapping data?
No. Envista has an exclusive relationship with NAVTEQ (www.navteq.com) to provide all the street data for North America for use in coordinating project information online. The maps are provided with the service and are updated bi-annually.

How do I add my projects to Envista?
You can upload your projects by spreadsheet and the system automatically locates your projects on a map by geo-coding your projects by address, intersection-to-intersection, or many other types of approaches. Additionally, you can directly create projects graphically on the map with a simple point-and-click interface.
Users with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or work-order management systems can export project data into Envista, as well.

Who owns the data displayed by Envista?
Each organization owns its data, but all the data is stored centrally on Envista’s highly-secure data center.

Does the system have access rights built-in?
Yes. You have complete control over who in your organization can view, add or change project data. You, as administrator, control what project information other outside agencies can view. Outside agencies cannot change or delete your project information.

What is the Compass Program?
Envista is partnering with industry-influencing municipalities, utilities and highway agencies in the development of its application through its Compass Program. They are active in specifying and testing the product.

Do you provide training?
Yes, Envista provides either on-site or web-based training seminars based on the size of the user organization. In addition, Envista provides online and telephone support.

Do I need to hire someone to input our data and keep it up to date?
Envista is designed to minimize the impact on your workflow and to make you more productive tracking the information you already maintain. Most project owners use spreadsheets to track their projects and importing spreadsheet information to Envista is simple. In addition, users with GIS or work order management systems can export project data into Envista.

Can I see what the towns around me are doing?
You and your adjoining towns have complete control over who sees your data. If your neighboring municipalities are subscribers, you can allow them to see the data to coordinate with their work as well.

Who backs up my data and how often is this done?
Envista’s application is hosted remotely at a high security data center. Incremental backups are done nightly and full backups are done weekly.
